The idea for First Teammate Leadership was born several years ago when I began coaching a program in need of stability and identity. I had good people, but they struggled with how to become a great team. What was missing was a clear connection between individual potential and collective success—an environment where everyone could lead and be valued equally.

In the competitive world of sports, where athletes strive to be the best, I shifted the focus from being the best individual player to being the best teammate—the #1 teammate—and that’s where First Teammate began.

I believed that if every player strived to be the first to pick up the cones, pump up the balls, give a high five, and support a teammate, we would create something special. Being a great teammate became the lynchpin to success, and I continue to believe that:

Good People Make Good Teammates. Good Teammates Make Great Players. Great Players Make Great Teams.

This is First Teammate Leadership.

Try something new

Often, we think we can do this all on our own, but the reality is, we can’t. We all need help. Let me be that helping hand. I know where you’ve been, and I have also (and still have) been the one who has to reach out. You’re not alone in asking for help, and you’re not alone on this journey

Specific Issues?

Maybe you’ve done your research. You’ve read the books, listened to the podcasts, watched the webinars, and have taken all the assessments possible, but you just aren’t sure how to integrate them, and feel like you need a life preserver.
